Meet Kai — a gentle, quiet pup who just wants to be part of the family.

Kai is about 6 months old, a Border Collie mix. Mix because Saffron is his mama, but then . . .

Kai has a soft, affectionate personality. He’s naturally a bit shy at first, but once he feels safe, his sweet and playful side really comes out—especially when he has another dog to show him the ropes. 

He has a nice, balanced energy level—happy to play, but also content to nap and hang out quietly nearby. He’s not pushy or demanding and tends to be more of a calm “observer” who enjoys being included without needing to be the center of attention.

Kai absolutely loves other dogs and gets most of his exercise playing, wrestling, and exploring with his canine friends.

Because of this, he would do best in a home with a confident dog buddy and a yard where he can relax and build confidence at his own pace. 

Kai is wonderful with kids, does well around cats, and has shown no signs of aggression or guarding—just a kind, gentle temperament.

Kai is fully crate trained, sleeps through the night, and is well on his way with house training. Like any puppy, he may chew if left unattended, but he does great when given structure.

He already knows basic commands like Sit and enjoys games like fetch and tug.

Kai may take a little extra time to warm up to new people, but with the right environment and a dog companion, he continues to build confidence every day.

For a family looking for a sweet, low-key companion (and already has a dog at home), Kai could be an incredibly rewarding addition.

Kai is neutered, fully vaccinated up to date for his age on his shots. Currently, he's around 30lbs and he may get to 50-60lbs when fully grown.
